The news was shocking today because I have a screening call with PayPal this week. It’s still scheduled, but I wonder what the recruiter will say… Should I bring up the layoff or pretend nothing’s happened? What should I do now? I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up since it’s just a screening call and now the layoff, but this is one of the few callbacks I’ve received in months… TC: 🥜 #tech #layoff #interview #paypal #design

Can you explain?
Blind is negative. It’s not that bad. Seriously People can be nice - especially in Venmo, Honey, and Braintree. Work is slow as fuck so it’s a good relax company like Cisco. Some weeks parole just don’t do anything. You can get a lot of free time. The people freaking out do it to themselves. The downside is there will be layoff rounds, but that’s true anywhere right now.
Not at all : I have also worked in PayPal. I know how is it considering when you are saying it a relax company! It's not a relax company in general as majority of teams are slogging and there is a lot of much of quorum filling goes on and that's what evident in the company profitability and what is evident on the performance charts - so I need not to talk much about that ; I believe.
Paypal is a sinking ship: your future lies in your decisions!
Likely the open role will be closed.
Totally second that : a ghosting is also expected.
Your recruiter might be laid off this week so be generous with patience. It’s not an ideal time at PayPal.
Nice one 😂 ! That if the recruiter is already gone !
We got an email for referal today, so i guess your interview still on
The recruiters at PayPal don't even know if they'll be here by end of week- morale is pretty low in recruiting right now. Some teams are still hiring so it may be worth it to you-- at the very least, you can use our potential 🥜 offer as a negotiation point in another offer conversation with another company.
Sounds like something to worry about once you have an offer in hand
