which company to join when you have offer from both. pros and cons if possible? teladoc: 190k, bases 157k smartthing: base 165k YOE: 12 thanks
I interviewed at Smartthings and the HM was insanely narcissistic. Like she cut me off 2 minutes into introducing myself and then talked about herself for 20 minutes straight. Almost completely name dropping people she knew and companies she worked at. Then she started asking tech questions that had nothing to do with my background or the job description. Seemed to just be a power play, especially since the recruiter told me it was just a meet and greet kind of interview. I emailed the recruiter and withdrew my app immediately. Company culture seemed super toxic.

I’ve never heard of Smartthing, but not sure what difference that could make. Great wlb here though. Is Smartthing public / do you get RSUs? I think TDOC has a very positive outlook. Good chance to get in while the true growth is underway. Edit: Ah, I see — Samsung owned. Could be a good choice.
Thanks for the reply, for 12+ exp is the base package ok or we can ask for more, this TDOC position has base range from 160k to 190k but I was offered 157k so little confused.
You haven’t mentioned the position so I’m not sure where you’re getting that range. Is this like senior engineering level in HCOL city? Or something like staff, in LCOL?
