Want to know what's master/ distinguished technologist titles equivalent in management ladder. Talking about SWE teams. Aruba or not shouldn't matter because I think Aruba levels are now already mapped to HPE levels. Tc ~250k/ 10 YOE
I don't think there's a DT equivalent for management. Maybe in pay, but not title.
Depends but HPE still values their top end technologists
DT is Director level but may have no people are ie individual contributor. After DT is Fellow, to equivalent VP.
Last year as a DT in HPE I grossed Inc bonus >330k USD. My tax bill is horrendous. 25+yoe
Are you in Bay area?
Congratulations for your level! So, my understanding is that the technical track goes like this: Master --> Distinguished --> Fellow (¿?) Do you know what other levels come before Master? A friend is being contacted for a Master-level position and wants to know how he's been positioned within the career ladder. Thank you in advance!!
Yes, Aruba levels are mapped to HPE

Director.
If I assume you meant DT maps to director, I infer that master maps to manager. But master doesn't have 1, 2 like mgr 1, mgr 2, right? I want to get more detailed mapping.
It’s not 1:1 mapping.
