Joining a new company ( FAANG) soon from a startup. Just curious how one has successfully onbaorded and started showing inpact. If you can share specifics that would be great. One thing that is applicable for all companies is relationship building but how an introvert can build successfully. Any success tips?

Are you starting at Amazon? Seeing a trend where only Amazon refer to themselves as FANG
Could be FB too given the word “impact” was mentioned.
is anyone here even at Netflix?
1. Look up every buzzword you hear around and read about it until you are comfortable 2. Find out if there is a roadmap and what kind of goals and values the projects have 3. Learn about the org structure and the main teams you might be partnering with 4. Throughly go through onboarding, point out any issues you see that prevent new hires from onboeding efficiently. 5. Analyze the codebase. Understand the coding style, common design parts, have someone explain high level architecture to you. 5. Listen more than speaking initially and gradually work your way up to voicing opinions once you know what you are doing 6. Find something that you think is terribly wrong and easy to fix and work on fixing it. If successful, it will help fight off the imposter syndrome 7. Ask teammates to add you as a code reviewer if that doesn’t happen naturally. Good and responsive code reviewers earn reputation faster. 8. Hustle.
