Yes, I’m looking for the one. The one engineer to bring them all and in the startup, grow them. Ok jokes apart. I am about to start activating my network for a second startup. I have one under my belt but it wasn’t successful - learnt a ton - took some time off to reflect and now I’m back. I’m working on solving a legit problem I faced in my career. I have been a PM, a management consultant, and a founder and I’ve traveled a lot during my 12 yoe - the travel world is what I’m about to fix. I have a board of advisors - folks who have 4-5 successful exits under their belt and I have a list of warm intros to get funded. This will be a seed stage raise (skipping the angel raise). But I’m lacking a tech co-founder - someone who can help me lead the team we hire and lay out the major tech architecture and frameworks to build from. Nothing will be without $ - I won’t ask you to come work with me with just equity. So if you have any experience in the travel world / feel free to message me and let’s talk / if we both feel like it might be a good fit / we can then discuss how to make it work. Feel free to DM me. And good luck in your individual startups! PS: if you have questions please comment or DM me. Edit: it’s not a fancy B2C concept. It’s a deliberate B2B play that will NOT make you a Billionaire in 1 year.
LinkedIn is literally built for this sort of scouting. Have you tried it?
Of course. 😊 parallel channels. Blind is one. LinkedIn is another. Pinging my network is another. Etc. Doing all of it.
Where are you located?
Me personally - shuttling between the valley and nyc weekly. The startup will be in the valley/SF - unless I have a clear justification for any other place.
To all the folks who DM’ed me / sorry for the late reply. Once you see my reply feel free to ping me again. This time I’ll be on top of it. Cheers!
curious what happened here. did you found points.me or expensify? or do you now have 2 failed ones under your belt
Well I sold the first one way too early almost because I didn’t know exactly what I was doing there. So it’s a failure from my POV but some call it an exit. The second one was DriftPilot.com - still have everything but the pandemic and being a single dad became unmanageable without substantial funding 2 years ago.
wow interesting, thanks for the update!

Travel is a pretty broad category and Google is cannibalizing the space. Good luck.
Thanks. It is broad. Thankfully the beachhead I’m looking at within Travel doesn’t have Google yet. 🤷🏽♂️
lol Google isn’t cannibalizing the travel space. It can definitely cannibalize the restaurant reservation space tho ;)
