Yikes. Stuff like this is shockingly common too. I’ve had the misfortune of stumbling across the hidden camera porn Twitter scene. Very disturbing and they encourage each other.
A similar incident occurred at a Microsoft office where the washrooms were shared with another company. Accessing them required navigating through corridors to the end of the hall. One day, I heard a beeping sound and upon investigating, discovered it was the soap dispenser mechanism. However, adjacent to it were devices unmistakably housing cameras. Building security was alerted, and upon investigation, it was discovered that one of the individuals responsible for cleaning the common areas was the culprit. Microsoft terminated the lease and moved us to another building that was fully owned by the company.
Even worse is that we found out from an article and not from the company that this occurred. No victims have been notified.
