I don’t think AT&T does referral bonuses.
That said, you can dm me as well and I don’t mind helping
Are you a DS at AT&T, can I please DM you about an opportunity?
It does, once the candidate is hired, but it’s peanuts lol!!
Look elsewhere lol
Haha why’s that’s? The role I am looking at looked pretty cool/interesting
So I'm being a little harsh ha. To accurately see if you should look elsewhere, questions would be where are you in your career (experience and age wise) and what will you be working on? Will this work make you marketable in the future?
What location and role you looking for?
Headquarters, Dallas. For a strategy analyst role
Few things make sure you negotiate the base salary. As once you get in there is hr politics every other year to cut your increments.
Find a different company to work for
There is nothing new in that behavior. I will say if you have good experience apply for mid size company thay can give you path to promotion quickly
The job disappearing is nothing new. As an internal employee I’ve seen numerous jobs just disappear with no explanation. It was either never a real job to start, or they put it up as a formality before hiring the person they already wanted without interviewing anyone (the norm). All I can say is you lucked out. Unless you’re an entry level employee looking to get experience all you missed out on is X years of subpar pay and red tape.
I saw a role that stood out to me but wasn't sure if any departments are better off than others? The consensus appears to be that they are just shitty to work for. I was looking at potential marketing role that aligns with my skillset. I applied earlier today without referral so was curious. TIA!
It’s just so bloated with worthless employees because it’s almost impossible to get fired, which is funny considering how much they love surplussing business units. Metrics mean almost nothing as it’s easier to shuffle an under-performer to another team than have to get rid of them yourself. Pay is also below industry average but if you just want to go somewhere that you can coast by with mediocrity and punch out an hour or two early every day, AT&T is perfect.
Very true what everyone has been saying above. I would like to add, if you have a family and are looking for really good wlb but not much personal growth, apply at att, or apply elsewhere.
Is ATT providing sponsorship or visa transfers for people on H1B visa? For Product roles.
No
