I am going through interview process with AWS for an Architect role, and wanted to know what should I expect during the interview? how are positions structued, salaries, who will i be reporting to, etc.? I read a lot of negative feedback with high pressure, quality of life, managing expectations, horrible middle management and client executives, etc. And positive side includes: cutting edge, variety of clients, sky is limit for innovation, etc. curently a Sr.Architect, and i work on AWS and Azure/O365 services. my previous experiance includes IBM cloud services. I appreciate your responses. #interview #Architect
Definitely a customer facing sales role where you obviously providing solutions through AWS. Work life balance and team culture is a hit or miss - like everywhere else. Good luck.
"Solution Architect" is more of a sales role... At the very least, more of a consulting role, while it means something fairly different for companies that are somewhat more "old school" / actually treat it as a big role. You might appreciate SDE 2 or Sr. SDE more
Thank you. U are the only one who responded
