It should be Canda vs India, depending on where you want to head to, not AWS vs Salesforce Once you have that cleared, not a difficult decision to make. You can definitely explore Canda for 2-3 years, and then take transfer internally to another location. AWS it would be, if I were to make a choice. Definitely brings out some change AWS has better growth opportunities as well!
Thanks.
I think you’ll be able to do better on your amazon TC once you move and are able to switch around. So if you want to move than pick that. On paper Salesforce looks better.
Have seen Amazon L5 offers around >$200k CAD for your YOE. Try to negotiate if possible.
Don’t think negotiation is possible with internal transfers.
@OP, I know its not easy, but its not impossible.
Amazon Canada and then amazon US after a year. Canada should be your stepping stone to the US
Which one did you select finally?
What decision did you take?
Be aware that the tech job scene in Canada is pretty crap. You won't be able to move much to increase your TC. Salesforce offer looks pretty good actually.
It is definitely better than India. Also, better standard of living and facilities. Though savings will be much higher in India.
Is it true that savings will be much higher in India ? I mean TC in canada in absolute terms is ~2x of the Indian one. I understand canada has higher COL than India, but still I am wondering, even if expenses are double and tax rate higher, does one really save more in India as canadian TC is 2x ?
