Stay at AWS in an enterprise/global sales role where I am on a group sales goal selling to a single account and almost guaranteed to hit quota. I also have a great wlb and minimal stress but often bored. OR take an offer at salesforce mid-market sales where I am being offered a $50k base increase (OTE is $80k higher than aws) but I don’t have any idea what my territory will look like/how difficult it will be to attain quota. Have also heard sales at salesforce can be a huge grind depending on the team you’re on. Would I be taking a step backwards leaving Ent sales at aws? #ae #enterprise #sales TC: 25O Yoe: 7 L5 4.5 years at amazon
TC/level/ YOE @ AWS pls
Just updated in original post
Did you get promoted from L4 or have you been an L5 for 4.5 yrs? If you came in as an L4 we’re you a DGR, ISR or what
Promoted from an L4 but have a very long story of how I got to Aws. I’ve been at 4 other Amazon orgs (2 of which fully shut down while I was there which delayed my promotion process multiple times) before starting at aws a year and a half ago. My time at Amazon had been quite a whirlwind to say the least.
So are you an ISR or AM or what? How close to L6 promo are you?
Trying to break into AWS ISR/AE role, would love to chat since you're in sales!
What do you do at Meta?
Get to L6 AM and run ur own accounts at aws then you'll be able to write ur ticket anywhere

I wouldn’t necessarily consider a move from being part of a team that covers a single or set of accounts to mid-market where you will be the owner of an account list, to be a step down. I do however think you are right to be concerned about hitting your number in the new role.
