AWS Senior SA Interview (L6) - Is it ok to give non-tech examples?

I'm interviewing for an L6 SA role with 19 YoE, so far I've passed the OA and have the first phone interview scheduled in 2 weeks. I'm not new to the phone interview having failed 3 times already for similar roles, each time the interviewer was on the fence but didn't wave me through (got feedback from a friend at Amazon). The last time I failed because I gave too "run of the mill" answers to the 2 behavioral questions (like adding a read-replica to scale out reads on the DB), despite the interviewer saying I did very well on tech. In my latest role I've been more into a mix of business management and IT at a SMB, so my more senior examples would be related to business processes and improving operational efficiency. My question is: is it ok to give LP examples that are not purely related to solution architecture? For example if I've analyzed data to reduce the logistics costs by 15%, or designed a process reduce inventory expiries by 20%. I've designed and implemented the entire IT solution of the company myself and using the output as the source of data. Previously (8 years ago) I was at IBM where I worked on much more complex architectures but at a less senior level. Would it be better to focus on the less senior architecture examples, or the more senior business examples? #Amazon #AWS #SA #tech #interview

Yes you 100% can, so long as they demonstrate the LPs well enough. I was a SWE and 70% of my examples were SWE related....got the job!
