Just want to check which of these two is better in following: 1) Culture 2) Comp/benefits 3) WLB and 4) Future perspectives. #salesforce #tech #aws
Culture : Salesforce Comp/benefits : Salesforce Wlb : Salesforce Future Perspectives : In terms of stock growth maybe amazon Amazon doesn't even come close in terms of culture and wlb, make a poll
Is the wlb good company wide or depends on the team? And how good? 40 hours a week?
Most people I know work around 25-30 hr weeks. It's the same across clouds in most cases, there will be outliers but the median is still pretty low
AWS, by far. Salesforce has a fake culture, pays well at first but no refreshers, is so boring your brain will rot, and as for future, well, they’re banking heavily on Slack. AWS will be more intense, but unless you’re looking to coast, it’s the better choice.
Salesforce hands down. Amazon is a toxic shit hole
Fuck Amazon.
Normally I would say avoid salesforce unless your entire goal is to coast and learn nothing useful, but amazon is its own special beast. A good team at amazon will beat a bad team at salesforce hands down. The likelihood that you get a good team on amazon is pretty low. The best teams at salesforce don't need to hire externally so you're most likely to end up on a decent midling team. Stay away from anything related to falcon and you'll be ok. Source: 10 years at salesforce and left a bad team last year.
whats wrong with falcon?
1) Culture: SF. By far. I haven’t seen any toxic people like Amazon 2) Salesforce. No 5/15/40/40 vest like Amazon. 3)WLB: great 4) Prob AWS, you’ll get more growth there and work on some cooler stuff potentially. If your priority is culture and WLB -> SF else -> Amazon
Amazon
