Do you write "little story" on linkedin when you are laid off? Many people post their badges, mug, shirt with company logo, will you do that if you are laid off?
If you ask me today (when I have a job) I would say I would never do that lol But it's different feeling when you actually get laid off so who knows
I won’t but ppl get emotional so let them be.
I did post when I got laid off. I got lots of support, and some recruiters reached out to me after seeing my post. I also had people comment/message me saying that their company is hiring.
I didn’t in a previous layoff but maybe I should’ve to get more leads. I did notice now it’s gone from a few days after the layoff to digest and then posting it to literally be within hours of being let go, “I was one of those XX% impacted today”. I guess they want to get kickstart the job search right away with all the talent pool out there so it’s a different environment.
Usually works out good for a cute girl. If a brown Asian guy does that post, you will see folks advising you to go back to own country
lol, that's probably why i seldom see asian guys post those small stories on linkedin
