Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Normally services firms are laggards in the layoff sector. Could this be the beginning of the end for tech? Not at Accenture btw. https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/23/business/accenture-job-cuts-19000/index.html TC 205K YOE 6
> Could this be the beginning of the end for tech? We’re already in the middle of the end
Certainly hoping that is the case.

If 2000 was not the end of tech, this won’t be either
Oh, well here we goooo…
Gonna be India mostly
Incorrect. India is not affected massively by these layoffs. Europe is seeing a lot of numbers.
Accenture has over 750000 employees fyi.
That is crazy to imagine
If this ends the EB1C abuse, I’m happy for it
Always crazy to me how fast Indians throw each other under the bus first chance we get.
@amazon, why do you think only Indians are abusing EB1C or apple referred Indians ?
I’m confused by your question. You state services firms are laggards in layoff moves (which I agree with as contracts are generally lagging) but then you ask if this is the beggining of the end? Do you mean is it the end of the layoff cycle or if this is the beginning of the layoff cycle? I would think it would be more of an indicator that we are at the tail end of the layoff cycle if anything. Not sure if thats what you’re saying though.
End of a sales cycle so SI businesses caught up w the downturn. But it’s not necessarily the end of the layoff cycle.
Was expected. If F500 letting go contractor and consultants. It’ll impact these firms that provide said consultants and contractors
Anyway, it’s better not to work in consulting (in terms of compensation).
Shocking to hear 19k is 2.5% only. layoffs bleeding into non-tech. Its starting
Accenture is heavy into tech implementation.
Do tech implementations count as tech?
