What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Hello my name is L11 Flex There's nothing really nice to say about the company. I've been working for them for 3 years and it's very clear they don't care about their workers. Management is hyper client fixated, wearing their smile masks and hypocrisies. If you're looking for a friendly and genuine company, this isn't it. It's full of people who are out for themselves, who lie and belittle you, micro-aggression and condescension. Where if you have an incident or situation out of your control, that's not their care. Your business is to do what they say. To be in your seat and work when and where they want you to. A machine, that they can nitpick and twist and tinker until they had enough or you had enough. Because those smiles are to meet an end. Where no support or organization is seen and new ideas are shunned and placed in the shadows. I'm writing this post with the full force of my emotions to this company. Because they never treated me like a human being. #toxic #accenture
Very sad and outrageous. I am very sorry that this kind of firms exist and treat their employees without dignity.
I left Accenture to work for LinkedIn four years ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s a horrible company sorry not sorry
I did short term contract work for summer breaks (during school), and generally they weren’t too concerned about their employee’s morale. You were just the product they were selling to their consumer
It’s a pretty shitty place. The constant travel, chargeability pressure, disorganization, and general lack of planning due to business model realities makes for a pretty bad experience. I was there for a long time so I can sympathize. An L11, you’re still relatively junior so maybe try getting out while you can. It only gets hard to jump. I should note, I’m not a SWE but somehow I can see it being worse as a SWE.
Accenture "Software Engineers" are a special kind. Imagine calling yourself a Softtware Engineer after completing a 3 month boot camp . Tech needs to be cleansed of all the pretenders.
I can relate and agree with everything you've said. I came from an amazing consulting company to this dumpster fire and feel a bit trapped but the way the IT market is right now, I'm not sure I want to jump ship just to be put in worse situation. It might help if you change practices, roles or projects while you look for other opportunities.
Its essentially a staffing company marketing you as better than sub contractors so they can charge more. Companies rely on contractors and consultants to essentially do the shit demoralizing meat grinder work they don’t want themselves. Changing practices, accounts, etc. might help temporarily, but projects in the consulting world typically have a shorter end date, another influencing factor as to why retention is not a huge priority or has much impact.
I have a question about on-site senior manager with mostly project management responsibilities coordinating between india and the us on-site activities. What is the typical compensation for someone in this role and 18+ yrs experience?? Also, Accenture files L1A green card right away on arrival or let whole visa duration consumed before filing it??
Hey, but they’ll take you to Cadillac Ranch! LOL. A dumpster of a company. Glad I got out before 2 complete years.
