Account executive at Salesforce

My wife has received an offer at Salesforce as an account executive with: 50/50 base/variable pay 130k base and 130k based on team quota Our question is, if historically the team hits ~90-100% quota, does that mean she gets 90-100% of the variable pay per month? Trying to understand the whole sales job #Salesforce #sales

Which location is this for and what is her current TC/role? Sales Eng/Solutions Eng is usually at 80/20 pay model and 50/50 is more for AEs so I’m surprised to see this offer your wife have received.

Sorry, made the post without getting the title correct, you’re right, I checked with her and it is an AE position. Any idea on the rest of how the pay structure works?

I think it’s team/company dependent, but usually it is team quota as well as the individual quota dependent. So yes how you assumed is how it usually works. I’m an eng but have couple friends in Sales org and heard these pay models before. I hope someone from SFDC who is actually an AE can provide some more detailed insight.

Yeah that is a crap offer. 70/30 at most.

That’s a very good comp for an AE7 or even an AE8.

It means $130k base and if they hit 100% quota another $130k on top. So yes 90% would get $117,000 instead of the full $130k.
