Planning on applying for a frontend dev position at Adobe soon. I’ve heard conflicting info about how their interviews are. Are frontend interviews usually leetcode-style questions or more domain specific? Or is it more behavioral?
It completely depends on the hiring manager, and whether an in-person or phone interview. We generally have a lot of freedom with how we run interviews. In general, we are more concerned with culture fit than "testing" candidates. (Though competency and experience are obviously required as well.)
Yeah just ask what to expect
Agreed. My interview (years ago) had a hands on component to it, but it really does vary. In fact, we don’t have a hands on piece for the team I’m on now. Basically, the team has to live with the choice made, so there’s a lot of trust in the team for the process.
Not sure about Adobe, but Amazon and VMware focus on Fe domain. With some leet code questions. Back in my days in Amazon, one of my go to interview question was do a JavaScript deep clone function. Covers both algorithm and js domain knowledge.
