Join AEP org and you will get Amazon work culture with lesser pay. Silent layoffs and PIPs too.

Hey, are you talking about the Adobe Experience Platform in the Experience Cloud. I got an offer from this team, so just curious to know how will be the work culture and layoffs.

Adobe aghs5f Feb 14

AEP is a large org with a toxic work culture in at least 60% of teams while the remaining 40% teams may be ok. So what you experience would depend on your luck. - Aggressive/combative work culture - Aggressive deadlines set by management - Expect to work at least 50-60 hours most weeks. - Early morning or late night calls expected if you work with other timezones. Depends on team. - day to day (standup output), sprint to sprint (biweekly) delivery pressure is very high. No lean periods anytime in the year. - very high output expectations - if you are unlucky and get some non-technical manager, the output expectations would be insanely higher (unrealistic expectations) as they don't understand the technical difficulty or complexity due to lack of technical experience and pressurize assuming everything is easy. - lot of politics with management groupism, cronyism, favoritism etc - blame games played all the time by management and their cronies to steal credit and shift blame in areas of joint ownership. - too many re-orgs. You can expect at least one or two every year and your product/project/team can change significantly with these re-orgs - stack ranking with annual PIP quotas. 5-10% minimum quota depending on the team. - silent layoffs without PIPs too done in the US Again everything depends on team and luck. Continuous overwork (without appreciation or rewards) would be expected in most of the teams even if all other factors are luckily positive.

ESPP (other firms have it too) You get a long weekend probably every other month. We have something called global wellbeing days MLEs are crazy busy though. If you’ve been laid off I’d say Adobe is a good bet. If you have another offer then don’t join for just the perks. You’ll be disappointed. We pay for food. Adobe is more popular for stability and casual culture than it is known for comp and perks.

That’s not true! We have lots of perks but you might not be aware of them - that was my case. Adobe was listed in the top companies for perks! Re: Food is subsidized: $6 for a meal that would cost $12-20 outside.

Adobe Jmrh78 Feb 1

So what are those perks ? Not being facetious. Genuinely curious. Subsidized food is not a perk in the Valley where free food is a norm.

Hey QPau02, thanks for listing those perks. Curios to know what’s $1200 free money for care?
