Update: Trans Coworker Stealing Breast Milk
Is it a good idea to quit my current company after just spending a month if I'm getting a TC bump of ~35%? I'm switching industries as well from Medical Devices to Automotive. I'll be relocating to Bay area (Fremont) from Orange County. Current TC - 96K + 5K hiring bonus Prior experience - 3 yrs in supply chain #medtronic #supplychain #automotive #medicaldevice
35K raise is not a raise if you are moving from OC to bay area. It's just the rent+cost of living offset
Not sure that's true in Fremont, that's a cheaper part of the bay, but definitely worth accounting for by looking at actual costs of what he'd get in each place, commute times etc. As far as quitting after a month, you'll burn bridges for sure but most people will understand. Don't make a habit of it and you will be fine.
Thanks for your advise! I was reached out by this other company and they were able to match my expectations. I didn't expect things will materialize like this.
Op how long were you at your last role? If you were there for 3 years, no one will care if you left this role after a month. Grab the money
I have been at the present company for about 4 weeks now. I have 3 yrs prior experience back in India.
Earning more money is always a good idea
