Any news if Affirm decided to give additional RSUs to employees who joined in last year? I heard few people talking about it but not sure if it actually happened? #affirm #compensation #tech
Yes, can confirm. For everybody lower than some sr leadership positions. Special grant is roughly 1/6 what a new hire equity package would for a given role that vests over this coming year. Doesn’t exactly fix comp, but certainly better than nothing.
What’s the new RSU policy? Is assumed value of $50 gone
Well kinda yes and no. Going forward, equity is expressed purely by number of shares. E.g. role X mid equity grant is 4000 shares. And it’s supposed to stay constant over the next year regardless of stock price. No more target value/share price.
Yeah but it's pretty much chump change. I've basically written off the stock portion of my comp at this point.
Why so? Have you started yet?
Started this year. It's basically the standard refresher rate, so mine was like $75k over 3 years at the $25 valuation. A nice bonus but pretty meh.
Just heard from recuriter that for new hires after July 1st, the RSU will be calculated by 90-day average with no floor price any more.
How does it work? So they’ll assign a fixed number of units for your 3 years depending on the 90day average (from your join date)?
When did this happen? Did they remove floor price for all new offers?
Anyone who joined in the first week of July has any update on this?
