Update: Trans Coworker Stealing Breast Milk
Is layoffs.fyi correct? When did this happen , I didn’t hear anything about it? It’s a great place to work but it does seem way more cyclical than most other places EDIT: appears that it’s from COVID-19 era but will layoffs come to Airbnb? TC 175 YOE 0
Maybe? The layoffs in May 2020 were a direct result of the absolute collapse of global travel as the pandemic was blowing up. On balance right now they seem to be in an industry that’s surging (travel) but that’s not to say they didn’t over extend in 2021 on headcount and need to pull back a bit.
They fired thousands of employees at the beginning of the pandemic, this was even before the IPO.
The only Airbnb layoffs I see are from May of *2020*
Oh nvm I think you’re right. But will they come again?
🤦
