https://thepointsguy.com/news/airbnb-rate-surge/ "Airbnb this week reported a nearly $2 billion profit for last year, with $319 million in profits coming from just the last three months of the year. What’s driving such a hefty haul? Much higher nightly rates than ever before. The average daily rate of an Airbnb rental is 36% higher today than it was in 2019, the company’s chief financial officer, Dave Stephenson, said on an investor call this week. However, company leaders defended the rise in prices by claiming vacation rentals still offer travelers far more value compared to a hotel room."
Airbnb is another vrbo or HomeAway.. nothing different They let the vacation owners ruin themselves.
Lol short this garbage product. They’ve jacked up the prices so much. Don’t forget about those cleaning fees that cost about 50% of the list price. And most of the time the Airbnb is 1/2 as nice as the photos, has a funky smell, and 10000 rules. Stopped using Airbnb years ago unless it’s with a bigger group of friends.

They can’t jack up rates when consumer is weak. Airbnb is waste of time unless you are group travelling Overpriced moat. Better buy undervalued Hilton or Marriott
Bought at $84, the company did well during COVID and converted a lot of customers that would have never considered it. Now everyone can travel again so it’s an obvious tailwind. Great option whenever you travel and need the additional space.
Airbnb is not worth it anymore. Too pricey, I stopped booking from them. Expedia all the way!!!
Airbnb is no longer worth it for single family traveling (parents/kids). Anything more, such as a group of friends or with extended family where people would need their own rooms, then Airbnb is fair. So tired of the bad fees, bad amenities like horrible Wi-Fi, weird check-in and check-out requirements, having to clean while still paying a huge cleaning fee.
Idk, I grew tired of fitting kids in a hotel room. Suites have been great, but houses are better
