Have an onsite with Airbnb SF and was told by coordinator that they only reimburse 'ground transportation if you are 70 or more miles away from the office'. How messed up is that? This is the first company I've had an onsite with that refused to reimburse uber to interview. Is this normal at other companies too? I live in the bay but not in the city and public transport is slow and unreliable.
Blind is amazing. One side of the spectrum boasts about sky high TCs and the other side cries over Uber fare! ππΏ
Im poor π
I think, itβs fair to ask for reimbursement. Why canβt a company pay for Uber/Lyft when they know driving to SF is a pain. Every company I have interviewed reimburses, even Intel and Oracle. The recruitment process should be improved
Just pay the Uber yourself..
Just take the dam Caltrain bro and get down on towns end and walk like 5 mins..
The commute is part of the test
Feels like it
The commute should be the least stressful part during the interview
LinkedIn said they would but they never got back me to after I submitted bills
Get the job and ask them to pay 100X uber fare as part of your signing bonus
Whatever it takes to regain profitability bruh
So messed up, just donβt even bother showing up
Every single onsite I've had has reimbursed. On top of that, Airbnb office isn't exactly close to bart π
Itβs a 7 minute walk. Is this worth posting over?
