Does blind still love Google most?
I recently interviewed at Airbnb. Just wanted to share my horrible experience just so that they don't get away with this. I hope I had a better medium to share this than on Blind. Started with a recruiter reaching out to me for a particular team (all communications via email). I liked the team description and the recruiter scheduled a call with the team manager. I talked with the manager, liked the team and the manager too, the manager also approved for conduction the interviews. I had to follow up multiple times with the recruiter to schedule the tech screen and then on its result and then on the full loop and then on the full loop result. There were a total of 8 rounds and the recruiter didn't even talk with me over the phone once. I practically aced all my interviews, coding interviews were perfect, and I think the design and behavioural interviews went well too. After 3 days of interviews, the recruiter just sent a cold email that the interviews were great and everyone liked you but we don't find your experience relevant. I asked for follow up what was missing but no response. Really disappointed in Airbnb. They boast of their cultural values "everyone belongs everywhere" but seems just a facade to me. They don't care about people's time and effort and have the courtesy to even explain what went wrong over a call. Will never consider them in the future and will advise everyone against it too. @OP: what coding questions were asked in the phone screen and onsite ? Thanks
Maybe they can't afford to convincingly beat your current TC
