Airbnb issue
Hi, I'm staying at an Airbnb. The host told me a previous guest attempted to masturbate in front of them and damaged the property in purpose. As strange as this might seem the host never reported it because they were worried that this individual wouldn't be able to rent an Airbnb again. I'm worried that the hosts personal issues with empathy may allow this pariah to slip through the cracks and escalate, possibly to rape. Now that I know this I may pressure her to contact Airbnb. What would you do?
Definitely need to report. That is not a right kind of empathy. We all right reviews on Yelp, Glassdoor to help each other when we make decision not to destroy the restaurant or the company we review...

It’s the host’s decision. You might not be getting the full story or it might be an exaggeration. Let them decide whether or not to report.

Get out of that Airbnb. That host has issues. Who tells their next guest what happened with the previous one, especially when it’s that the person tried to masterbate in front of them? What will they tell the next guest about you?

I did Airbnb shared accommodation once. Woke up to the hosts figure masturbating over my bed. Called the cops and reported to Airbnb and he got busted. I believe he’s doing a few years up in Utica.
