Alternatives to Stripe

Are there any alternatives to Stripe that charge less but still have good tech for setting up international accounts under one main US based account and handling payouts?

The fee they charge is kinda the industry standard

Adyen braintree I believe from a pure payments processor standpoint adyen processes almost as much as stripe

Stripe’s fee is industry standard. Once you ramp up the volume, you could talk to a sales to negotiate a better dealz

Thank you so much for the list. Stripe is not clear on how much they charge in my situation. I have a US based business (platform for freelancers) but my customer base is all abroad. I’ve had 9 seperate conversations with their support on the phone and they all gave different pricing and costs. They also dont have many payment options for where my customers are.

sounds like you need support? DEFINITELY do not go with stripe then. you want a high touch provider

Imo if you’re a startup, you just need to guarantee payments don’t limit your growth. Stripe has the best coverage and is proven used by massive companies and easy to integrate. Might be more expensive but I’d be more worried about growth than the extras bps you’re paying.

Agreed with above.. For a startup you should be on Stripe. It sounds like you're try to use Connect for your platform, if there's one product we are better at is Connect. Once you get to a larger size you can negotiate rate and/or looks at Adyen. Focus your energy elsewhere at this point. Source: I do strategic sales at Stripe (F1000)
