Am I being paid well ‘L-4 Data Engineer at Amazon’?
I have an offer from Amazon(Seattle) for L4 DE role. Salary offered - Base -102k Bonus- 20k 1st year, 15k 2nd year Stocks - 33 I tried negotiating but recruiter said this is what they can offer maximum. I wanted to know if I was lowballed or received a fair pay as others in the same role. #amazon #amazondataengineer #amazoncompensation

Fwiw it's doable for Seattle though. -Like you can live comfortably on ~120k gross per year (it's enough to rent pretty much any 1br downtown, eat most meals out, buy random shit, rent cars whenever you need, ect.. and still be in the green). You'll usually be able to max out 401k and save at least $20k/yr if you put any effort at all into budgeting.
Where did you get that number 140k? Also OP is going to be making ~120k and you can also live comfortably on that.
