Amazon - Background check self employment verification.
Hey guys. On my resume I have 1 year of self employed experience. It was a social media app. But since I wasn't making any money out of it, I never registered a company. But right now I got an offer from amazon and now I'm worried if it cause any problem. I published the app on Play store. And both apps and backends code is archived on my GitHub profile. Should I exclude this self employment thing from background check? I heard that they only ask tax documents. What should I do. I can easily prove my current employment. Background check is done by Accurate. #amazon
they only ask for your ssn and address/contact info.
I'm not american and this is for europe location.
Did they ask you for previous employment? When I joined they just didn’t a criminal background check

It’s probably just a criminal. You’ll be fine! I remember the same thing, I put Senior Sys engineer because a VP referred to me as that in writing, but it wasn’t on file with HR. They didn’t check, and honestly, they do not care. Amazon is 100% about your interview performance. Once you are in, it’s 100% about your work performance. They don’t give a fuck if you were the president of the US before. Welcome to the team!
No no don’t. Most bug BGC companies have a process for this, you just need to be honest
Can I prove it with the code? Can Amazon renege the offer if this fails?
No they can’t and they won’t. You just need to write a letter to hire right explaining and they see this every day I had the same thing with Google and atleast 5 others I know. It’s becoming a standard thing
