No, you have few days before all access are revoked
I don’t know about that. I up and quit Amazon, yet 3 months later they called and asked…why I haven’t been reporting to work. I went in person and quit, and somehow no one even knew.
People answering yes, so those who still have their meetings up are safe?
Nobody is safe for the next few hours
This seems f*cked for people that have their health insurance/benefits linked to their work email
That's why (if possible) you shouldn't do that. And if layoffs are happening, that's one of the first things you should do -- move that to a personal email and get the email addresses of anyone you might want to talk to later.
Dad jokes is 100% correct.
Y'all need to start working double jobs to guard against layoffs
Do you want fries with that? 🍟 🤤
Yeah I’ll take medium fries. Can you apply the McLayoff deal discount?
Yes this is true - source: me. I was laid off in Jan from AMZN.
Yes, you lose access to everything immediately once you are laid off. If you need documentation, personal documents, important emails, Etc. start backing up now.
Just remember they install spyware on your laptop which monitors things like USB drive transfers, WorkDocs downloads, etc. Their legal is t afraid to come after people. Had a friend who got sued because their boss forgot to terminate them after giving notice for three weeks and Amazon wanted those three weeks of pay back. They spent more in legal fees going after it than the actual pay.
Feel free to DM for TikTok / Bytedance referral. For anyone impacted or reading this, you can DM too.
If this really is true, then I would immediately download all important emails as a Printed PDF through Outlook and send them to your personal email (or lawyer if you’re really cheeky). I’d also screenshot all messages between your manager and document your emails to CYA and potentially sue Amazon for their terrible employee practices (including wrongful termination). A company as scummy as Amazon deserves no quarter when it comes to exposing and resisting their awful employee practices. TC: 90K
If someone does this, it will not be wrongful termination.
Yeah, there’s likely to be a lot of proprietary information in those emails. Stuff belongs to Amazon, not the employee.
