Has anyone here recently joined Amazon? Is WFH equipment (desk, chair, monitor, etc) something we have to negotiate as part of joining the team or your contract OR is it given to you? Do I need to ask my manager for this or is there a set amount for all employees? I will be accepting a remote role in Seattle and work from NYC. #remotework #wfh #amazon #onboarding #amazonbenefits #amazoncompensation #amazonfeedback #amazonhiring
You can also write those expenses off on your taxes if they don’t reimburse. Just don’t do both lol.
I think that's explicitly prohibited unless you're self employed in the new tax law
Shit you’re right. Open an LLC and charge it there lol
I am planning to join soon, Can anyone please try to summarize what is WFH limit for new joinee? below are the item I need: 1) Monitor 2) keyboard and mouse 3) headphones 4) docker(if available)
So did you get an answer for this ? I have the same question

Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
Your leader will handle and request for anything you need to work from home. It’s an easy process just look for any equipment you may need on the amazon website that is reasonably priced.
I would send my leader the links and they would order it? Do you happen to know what “reasonably priced is?” Would ~$600 for a desk, chair, monitor, keyboard, mouse be fine?
600 each, probably gonna get some questions about the keyboard and mouse. 600 total, seems too low for a long term wfh set up
