Can any current/ex employee shed some light on the work culture in A9 search team in Palo Alto? Also, are there any special perks given to employees here which are different from rest of Amazon org?

Hi, ex-A9 employee. Overall it's a good org and I miss it. Lots of PEs and L6s - L6s code. So the work that trickles down to the junior engineers is not that great always. Smallest of mistakes can cause a sev-1 - everything has to be done extra carefully. And the scale of work is amazing. WLB is generally good too.
