How are the teams in the Alexa Engine division, in terms of WLB and on call duties? Is it one of the more stressful teams? Also, any tips on their interview process? Not sure if Amazon standardizes its interviews across company or if it is more team specific. I know I will be getting 3 LC rounds and 1 System Design rounds with LP scattered all throughout.
It depends on the team. My team has a good WLB. On call duties is same as rest of Amazon. If you are lucky to be in a team with 8-9 ppl then you will go on all once in 2 months which is not that bad. For Interviews just practice leetcode explore section for Amazon. Questions will be quite similar.
I see, thanks. I am actually more worried about system design than lc, since my background has 0 system design. How high is the bar for that round? I've been trying to watch videos on youtube and read stuff about system design.
Just lean the basics even I didn't have system design experience but I was able to crack it after reaching up about distributed systems, scalability etc. Grokking system design is a good reference
4 rounds of interview. 1 hour each. 45 mins spent on coding and 15 mins on LP.
How many hours and days is enough for lp prep
