Amazon Application Status
I had a phone interview with Amazon today. Before the interview my application status was 'under consideration'. Shortly after the interview, the application status bounced back to 'application submitted'. Does it mean rejection? I felt the interview went very well.
Ouch! Is there a reason why they not move applications to 'not under consideration'? Doesnt make any sense
It will take at least 1 day. They will have a meeting to discuss the day after. Until then nothing is determined
I had a recruiter call reviously and this one was with a hiring manager. It is for a non tech position. The phone interview with HM was in the late afternoon, 4 hours after I see the status change.
My status moved after the phone interview, and I got the rejection email not too long after.
Was it a few days or weeks after?
A few days.
In my case it was a rejection. Hopefully it will be a positive answer for you
My application disappeared from the portal once I was notified I cleared the phone interview. My guess is that the status does not really reflect what’s actually going on
Don't trust amazon.jobs application status, it could be mean anything. My application went to no longer under consideration before I even took the OA. I gave the OA and the interviews, and received the offer as well. It still says no longer under consideration though For an accurate update email/call your recruiter

It doesn't mean anything. I'm pretty sure I was listed as "application submitted" despite already working for Amazon.
Same thing happened to me right before I got an offer. I don’t think anyone really knows what it means so I wouldn’t dwell on it. Just wait til you hear back from the recruiter
Will reach out to the recruiter on Monday. In my case,the status update happened right after phone screen with hiring manager.

I was contacted by recruiter with rejected email, and then my application status changed to no longer under consideration

lol no it doesnt @oracle. FWIW OP - the status in the portal is rarely accurate so dont look too much into it. Mine eventually turned from under consideration to 'hired' months after I had already started
OP, dont bother. It is just a fasaad as Amazon said
