I applied for a senior product role at Amazon last week and just got notified that I was moved forward to the assessment stage that includes Work Simulation and Work Questionnaire. Looking up tips online but would greatly appreciate any insight from those who have done before successfully (or unsuccessfully for that matter) TC: $185K YOE: 6 #pm #product
Any updates @hrYo70? I am also about to take this assessment for a product role.
Hi @gkYW34, how did the assessment go? Anything to keep in mind? I'm about to take mine tomorrow
OP - DM’d you for some followup questions on the same.
@hrYo70 - how was the assignment. Did you move to next round?
Simulation? There is an assessment - its kind of a simulation, maybe thats what that was? Some videos or emails of people giving you scenarios, and making you choose your next step or answer. I found it super easy. Also thought you cant really prep for it other than just knowing what the LPs mean.
Thanks for the insight, sounds like a multiple choice type of assessment then? Here is the description I got for the simulation: Work Simulation: ~ 50 minutes. You will work through example tasks from across the Amazon lines of business. All scenarios provide opportunities to demonstrate core skills and abilities related to the role for which you applied. If some examples have content that does not look specific to your role, rest assured the skill we are asking you to demonstrate is relevant and important.
It was mostly multiple choice, unless its changed or something. Like there are 4 drivers, here are their delivery stats. Which one is doing well, which one is a problem, what will you ask of the one with the problem. What their problem metric. Then some workplace nonsense over someone not listening, or questioning something in a meeting or something, what is your best course of action. Like I said, unless its changed, it was pretty easy. At least for me.
