I’ve received an attractive offer that I’m considering from Amazon. I’ve obviously seen the HR email about benefits (abysmal 401(k) match, healthcare, etc.) but is there anything else as a company (besides bananas) that gets missed? Does Amazon give any budget for WFH setup? What perks has your team/division/manager given you? TC: 175k YOE: 7 Data Engineer

Best mass market compact car?
Bro ask HR
Huh the best employer on earth is hiring from google now. Interesting.
I’m a fraud. A lowly vendor (essentially contractor) at Google. My Blind status is but stolen valor.
😂🤣
I’m in the same boat right now. Interviewing for Amazon and the pay seems too good to not consider. I can afford plenty of perks with an L5/L6 Amazon salary.
There are literally no perks. Company is as frugal as it gets. The benefit has always been accelerated stock growth that yielded competitive market salary. This perk is no longer true as of 2021.
It still seems like they give decent TC even with stagnant stock no? At least for the first 2-4 years
I don’t know that it’s *not* true (nobody does, or they’d be a trillionaire) but I am definitely valuing the stock much differently
Lmao. Benefits does not go together with Amazon, but pip, toxicity, harshness do.
Frugality guys! Frugality!… oh wait, that’s just for employees, my bad.
Yes, Amazon's benefits are the worst in the industry.
10% off purchases up to $1K.
Really? That is pretty solid.
Oh, up to a $1,000 in spend per year... aka a max $100 discount per year. That is BS. Target gives all their employees 5% off everything with no caps.
TC or GTFO!
