Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, confirmed today at the internal conference, that hiring this year has been significant and they will slow down the hiring from now onwards. TC: 550K
What about pip? Pip has also been significant, will they be slowing that down?
Lol
Then they’d have to layoff
Damn.. Waiting for joining..
Did you get January as well?
December join date.. Just started the H1 transfer..
what happens to candidate who signed the offer and scheduled the joining date to be early 2023?
why switch?
@google what is your join date? I just got an offer today morning and same thing - Joining date in January. ( Even that needs VP approvals according to the recruiter )
What's your level at Amazon?
Old news. Managers have been communicating this since last month
Will it pick up again towards mid of next year? What’s the feeling like?
Depends on how bad the recession gets. We do have budget for 2023 right now. So some hiring will happen but how much depends on how much recovery the economy does. If things get bad with a recession, we will only fill priority needs and general hiring will be pretty much zero
It’s the end times
With how many people they pip, I doubt this lasts lol. Also, who would want to even work at Amazon?
Says the GM tag 😆
They pay 500k for l6, plenty of people willing to sell their soul
God, even Amazon is doing hiring freeze.
Not for sde2/sde3.
only sde I?
Non tech roles mostly. Sde1s have to be in the office.
