I have a few rounds of interviews for the Kuiper team coming up early May for a senior hardware position. Was looking for some advice on how to prepare or things I should look out for? I heard LPs are very important but how important are the technical questions? This is my first ever FAANG interview and feeling a bit nervous! YOE: 6 TC: 120k :'( #amazon #interview #hardware
If you get it you will make more money at least
Yeah seriously, how are you liking it so far? any tips on how to prepare?
I’m not in Kuiper. But I’ve hired dozens of people - focus on having 2 examples of every LP - all questions will be LP oriented in the loop.
Senior = Focusing on 2 substantial examples for each LP. In these 24 examples, you show you have rescued failed projects, set up vision for the team, and drive initiatives in the org, for multiple times.
here's a comprehensive list of ee topics: https://www.hwe.design/system-design-interview-preparation-and-consulting/hardware-engineer-interview I recommend starting a google sheet and writing down what you know and what you don't know and making a study plan for interview preparation.
Tech: 1/ satellite basics 2/ comm protocols 3/ antennas 4/ thermal issues on antennas and snow 4/ how was GNSS work? 6/ isolation issues in multi radio HW 7/ batteries 8/ mmWave 9/ power circuit noise isolation LPs for behavioral obviously
Wow deep RF stuff, is this for all EE positions at Kuiper?
For most of them but they will focus on your job area
