For those who are familiar with Amazons L5 promo process: 1. Is a tech assessment required? I see mixed answers on this. 2. When does a manager need to submit a Q4 promo request by? Is there any hope for a Q4 promo to happen assuming promo doc hasn’t been written by manager yet? 3. How rigorous is a L5 promo? Is it guaranteed as long as manager is onboard?#software 1.5 YOE, 160k

1. Depends on the org/L7 and the culture they have within the team. If you the team under your director/L7 enforces this, you have no choice. 2. General guidelines are October last week. 3. Manager and team's SDE 3 need to be onboard and present a case for you.

I just got my promo doc submitted, all goals on green, 10+ promoters, operating at L5 for over 1 year. It was not inclined on the review. Both manager and skip were onboard
