Amazon L5 offer
Expecting an offer from Amazon for L5. What should I expect? Recruiter said starting is $250k but can go higher but needs managerial approval. Can I go 300k?

Back during the hiring spree in 2020-2022 you could get offers outside the below ranges but I don’t think that is the case in the current job market. Somewhere in the range below. Maybe in the 270k range? The numbers below are accurate and come within the Amazon blind group for your location (should be similar as Seattle pay) 143k - 195k base. 252k - 325k tc
How is that broken down between salary, stock, and sign on? Because some of those may have room to move but others are likely capped.

As per levels fyi, L5s were pushing 400s. Too bad those days are gone
I had a 360 competing offer as of a month ago and Amazon matched to 311. I rejected them but the recruiter said they couldn’t go higher. Seattle area, L5
250k is l4->l5 promo TC. You should be aiming for middle band.

Checks levels.fyi, but you should ask for 310K, that's TT level (w/ YoY, it's 325K I think). They will realistically settle you at 290K, HV3 level. If you're bringing some rare skill, then you could ask for 325K, or even higher. There are exception processes to pay people more than the pay-band.
