Applying for L6 PMT job, it seems this is the better one compared to TPM. What is the the salary difference? Is TC of 300 a crazy expectation for Seattle for PM Tech or on low end
$300k is above the L6 PMT pay band, and most likely your starting offer will not come very close to reaching that even if you interviewed exceptionally well. $250k is much more likely in that scenario. TPM is very similar to PMT (+/- a few $Ks)
That is correct range for L6 PMT. Thanks for being honest and truthful unlike few morons on this thread who want to exaggerate and cause panic for others by making them unnecessary anxious and discontent. I have seen many folks at Amazon especially at leadership level enjoy the churn from the side silently.
@Date me could you tell which has the higher pay band between PM-T and TPM? Thanks!
My TCT is $225k
TPM is higher than PMT, no way you will get 300k
How about L7 TPM principal
L6 PMT - 340k TC. It’s totally possible due to stock appreciation. As a new hire, you might have to negotiate or have a competing offer on hand to land around 340k.
L6 TPM TC 290k. Would expect PM-T to be lower.
It’s not - the ranges are nearly identical
Good to know, thanks. I'd been told previously that in order of pay scale (desc) by role it went sdm, TPM, pm-t, pm. Not sure of the size of difference, but not surprised to learn pm-t and TPM are close
Is 235 TC a good offer for L6 PMT in Seattle? 16+ years of experience, 11 in dev, 5 in PM. Is there room for negotiation?
I’m an L5 PM non tech and my TC is supposed to be 190k - which is quite a bit less than it will be this year due to stock - so I’d say 300k is in line with L6 tech PM salary.
