Can someone help me with pointers on how to spot questions on these? I don’t seem to identify the questions in these categories.
Deliver results...you delivered as promised. A challenging situation you found a way around it and delivered a working solution. Ownership: you were not spoon fed, you took the feature or whatever as if you owned it it mattered to you. These questions are intertwined. Ownership questions is usually around tell me a time you went above and beyond, discovered or invented something new in response to an issue you forsee. I'd say don't think too much about identifying the LP beign asked, they are usually very interchangeable. Listen to what the interviewer is trying to uncover. Amazon LPs are pretty cool if you don't think about it too much. Really loved them
Google the frequently asked questions for both LPs. Create 2 stories for each LP that can answer all the questions. Sometimes u wont know which LP they are targeting. So be prepared and familiarize yourself with the frequently asked questions. I got the offer by preparing this way. I was asked 15 questions throughout and prepared 26 stories. Did not have to repeat any story.
This does not exactly answer your question, but can be helpful advice
Ex-Amazon. Instead of trying to spot the questions, go through your resume and write a story for each job. Go through each story and embed an aspect of every LP in it. Rehearse that. Focus on answering the question that is asked. Understand the LPs, if anyone asks you your favorite, always say customer obsession.
Previous BR here —this is great advice. I would correct the Customer Obsession is your favourite, though. That’s a great answer, but only if you have the data to back it. Otherwise, it sounds like you did a Google search.
True, OP has gotta sell it! For me, I was going for an external facing role and was coming from years of customer work. If someone is an SDE then maybe Dive Deep would be more appropriate, or whichever resonates most.
Either way, answer in the STAR format and be really specific on the R with metrics and anecdotes. You'll be fine. If you are vague in R of your stories then people will bring it up during the debrief even if they are not evaluating you on deliver results.

Deliver results is when your example talks about how you were challenged to deliver on a commitment. This doesn’t have to be work beyond your scope, just a challenging situation. Ownership is when your example talks about how you went above and beyond your defined scope/responsibility to deliver for the customer. It’s not so much about the question, but how you present your response. There can be more than one LP in the behavior you demonstrate in a given situation, it’s how you talk about it.
