I don't see the value of MBA's in tech. I don't see what MBA's contribute to pm and leadership.
Does MBA help for management ladder in tech? Does it help for leadership if we want to grow in tech ladder?
Not really. MBA hire L6 salaries are mostly the same. Finance, product, program mgmt, supply chain, field ops. Same. Same. Same
Following for salary as well. Any insights?
150k base?
125K-135K base usually
I applied and got an OA for it bc I finish a MS in Systems Engineering in December. I’ve worked SWE role, do you know their reason for giving me this opportunity? I have a non-CS engineering background and will be doing OMSCS too. Will it be held against me for not having MBA?
I know folks who joined in Seattle this year with a base of 144k as L6 MBA PMT. Don't know if the salary differs across functions. It's a good ROI because of the high sign on bonus for year 1 & 2, which is approx 100k combined. Also, not all people want to be or can be SWEs, so maybe money isn't the only motivation.

What level do these MBA recruits join? Depends on their prior experience?
I had my friend do a referral. The posting to the public says MBA full time. His email showed L6 MBA Fulltime
