Hi, I’m currently working at Amazon(Seattle) and have a non compete. I’ve got a verbal offer from another company for now and would be working on a new domain and business space than what I have been working at Amazon. Does this non compete hold if I move to a different domain? #amazon
Odds you are aren't going to bring any secret proprietary staff to new employer. Which you shouldn't of course. L4 is not important enough to enforce non compete.
How wound they even know?

The unofficial rule is you don't need to worry about non-compete unless you are L7+. Amazon is not going to waste resources on going after an L4. It would look really bad for PR too and hurt recruiting.
Yeah, also if they choose to exercise it pretty sure they have to pay you during the non compete period so wouldn’t be the end of the world. Basically paid vacation. They legit might walk you out if/when you tell your manager where you’re going, especially if AWS. But that’s standard if going to a direct competing service team
