It's widely known that the head of Amazon studios throws money at supposedly prestige projects to ingratiate herself with the Hollywood in crowd. If she was on blind, she would be the one that constantly puts up prestige polls. Amazon Prime, given the amount of money and the fact that it was given away for free with Prime, is such a monumental joke. At least "The Boys" is pretty good.
I’m liking all the military/intelligence related shows on prime too in addition - Jack Ryan, Reacher, Terminal List. Rings of Power was a snoozefest, that ship and rock in the first 5 mins …
Which ring of power is the most prestigious?
Amazon prime shows are an interesting thing. They don't show prime studios shows on other platforms, anyone correct me if I'm wrong. That certainly used to be the case. So they have an added responsibility to produce high quality content since all the revenue it generates only comes from Prime customers, and they have to lure them in. So if they produce shit content like that awful lord of the rings thing, and their limited audience doesn't watch it, then they lose a fuck ton of money.

Amazon actually has some moderately conservative content too if you look past Rings of Power. They all suffer the same problem that most streaming shows do which is they’re very long filler with little content and they use whatever is “in” as a cheap marketing strategy (ie before was sex sells and now is diversity). I wouldn’t go write it off as “woke” is the sole issue for Amazon
