Amazon Promo Negotiation?
I’m currently a PM at Amazon (studios). My manager just told me that my L6 promo had been approved, he did not give me numbers and mentioned I’ll find out in about a month since the pay statement won’t be available until then. My question is, can I negotiate the base or TC? I am anticipating a big bump, but I fear I won’t get near the 300k -350k tc I am expecting. I like my job and team, I don’t want to leave but the job market is so hot right now, getting that range outside should be no problem. I already have google, meta, DoorDash, etc reaching out to me. Promos go to the bottom of the new band. I've heard that it is possible to get above that, but I doubt it happens often or at all.

I doubt that you’d get that much. You can’t negotiate without a good BATNA. Congrats on the promo!
