Amazon Relocation Timeline
I'm going to be relocated from DC to Seattle for Amazon, so quite the move with a dog and spouse. How long did they give you until they expected you to start/move there? Are you starting the job prior to moving? I feel like I need at least 3 months grace before starting and settling in, but don't want to push it.
They give you a lot of time actually. After I got the offer letter I let them know I needed to give 4 week notice at my job and after that I asked for an additional 3 weeks for the move so almost 2 months.
Thanks! So giving them a timeline 3ish months out wouldn't be too crazy? Kind if awkward timing with holidays and personal travel coming up.
I can’t see why it would be a problem at all. Like you said, this time of the year makes things difficult on everyone.
I’m moving the same direction but for someone else. I was able to give a start date on when I wanted to start. Then my moving package is good for almost a year. My family won’t be coming for a few months to just be done with the holidays and school.
