I need to fly to Seattle from the Bay area in the new year. i’m wondering if I can extend my trip over the weekend? Does anybody have any experience doing this. Is Amazon flexible? What if I just want to add on a few days to explore at my own expense in between. I assume since they are paying for the flight it wouldn’t matter when it occurs. I am assuming they would cover two days hotel. Feel free to share your experiences, insights, or tips. Honestly...an 8 hour interview day sounds kind of gruelling. Love to hear how you handled it. Thanks in advance. 15yoe 200k TC
The email from recruiter has this detail. Amazon provides upto 2 nights stay and if you wish to add additional nights you can pay from your pocket.
Should be fine to extend at your expense for lodging
that is no problem for any company as long as you are paying for urself for the extra stay.. Amazon gives 2 nights of hotel. you anyways have to book ur travel through Carlson wagonlit and not the recruiter. they don't know, don't care!!
That’s super helpful. Thanks for the details.
Mine was a quick 45 min flight to another city. 5 hour loop. Flew in night before, left immediately after the loop. Too busy over thinking my interview performance to recognize how mentally exhausted I was until I got back home lol. I did not want to explore said city so this didnt even cross my mind, interesting question. I'm sure it could be accomodated if you paid for the rest. What role are you interviewing for that would be a full 8 hours?
