Just received an offer for L5 SDE position at Amazon Vancouver. Base salary: 142K CAD Signon: 40K first year RSU: 26 units YOE: 5 Seems pretty low RSUs, what do you think? Should I try to negotiate? #swe #amazon #vancouver #amazonvancouver

RSU is too low, seems Amazon is cheapening out on their RSU. If they pip you before the end of your 2nd year, they only have to give you 1 stonk.

Base is really good for Canada L5. Sign-on and RSUs could be higher. I got similar sign on and more (around 50 RSU) after negotiation earlier this year for L4 industry hire.
Did you end up getting more RSU? There is not a lot of data points for L5 in Vancouver at 3-5 YOE. Curious to know
OP negotiated for extra RSU. But in tern got extra LSEs and COEs.

4 years, w/ regular amazon vesting (5, 15, 40, 40)
