Hello, I got an offer for Amazon Vancouver SDE1. I wonder if they will sponsored the Canadian PR for me? Does someone have seen this situation before? Thank you.
Do they sponsor Work Permit for you? Or you already have some status in Canada (I assume not a citizen since u need PR)
No yet. I already work permit. That allow me to work anywhere.
Normally they sponsor work permit too, but due to coronavirus, iiuc Canada doesn’t issue work permits to people outside Canada until this is over. And since that’s in an indeterminate future, Amazon is only hiring people already in Canada at this time.

L4 doesn't qualify for international immigration or relocation, so no, Amazon won't sponsor your LMIA. With an L5 offer they will do LMIA for you and PR once you started. L4 offer typically may cover domestic relocation package however.
Not true. inside.amazon says L4 can start PR from day-1
I do a lot of hiring, and actually that depends on the division, some divisions are open to offer relocation for L4, some others don't.
What ended up happening? Were you able to get the LMIA, OP?

I just received the verbal offer. next week I have to chat with my recruiter about that.
