Amazon and Microsoft should do something about scammers calling and pretending to be their tech support

So sick of these callers telling me they’re from Amazon/eBay/Microsoft, trying to “refund” me money by RDPing into my PC and logging in to my bank account. Sometimes, when I’m bored, I stay on the line for as long as possible, to waste their time. But lots of old people who aren’t tech savvy actually fall for it, and lose their pants. Why don’t Amazon, Microsoft and eBay apply some pressure on governments to enforce this shit. Half those scam call centres are in one specific town near Calcutta, how hard can it be to catch these scumbags who target the elderly.

What makes you think they don’t? Try watching some videos on guys that have tracked these folks down and see how hard it actually is and how difficult it is to do something about it via legal means. Yepp as someone from India I'm really ashamed the way some of these "companies" represent my diospora and even think they are entitled making money that way only because they get away with it every time.

You should watch the YouTubers that scam those scammers. Pretty funny, they either waste as much time or try scamming them back
